Rod’s interest in the magical arts was ignited years ago during his broadcasting career. He witnessed a magician at an amusement park magic shop perform a trick that kept him up late that night obsessively attempting to devise a method by which the “miracle” might have been accomplished.  The next day he returned to the shop, bought the trick, and learned that none of his proposed methods explained the real secret.

That was the genesis of what, over several years, evolved from performing magic tricks to presenting astounding mentalism for audiences in a variety of venues.  Although all of his feats are accomplished by natural means, he’s often asked by audience members if he has psychic powers.  His response: “It may look that way, but looks can be deceiving.”

His presentations have been popular features at corporate and organizational events as well as aboard Holland America cruise lines, London’s Magic Circle Theater, and many of the nation’s finest resorts including as a regular speaker/performer at America’s premier health and wellness resort, Canyon Ranch.

“What enthuses me most about performing mind-blowing mentalism, whether for corporate functions or as part of one of my seminars or training sessions,” Rod shared, “is that my audience leaves not only entertained but also having had their emotional and imagination tanks filled to the brim.”

Rod and his wife Jeannie have five adult children whom they raised on a ranch in the Desert Southwest near Tucson, Arizona. Empty nesters, Rod and Jeannie still live on their ranch where they now raise iconic saguaro cacti.
